I only see AQW surviving if they port the entire game to Unity and appeal to the mobile market. What kind of gameplay do you even propose? MOBA’s? TDs? The only problem limiting aqw tbh is it’s flash base engine, it puts a lot of limit to how much players enjoy the game so I really hope they fix it. Basically thats just for PvP, and lets just let them do their job in their current project where they’ll finally make a distinction between PvP classes and PvE ones, cause thats how it is supposed to be. It’s a world that isn’t supposed to be played competitively so it doesn’t really need that kind of complicated aspects to it. Aqw is a casual game, not a competitive one. I mean any game with good graphics and contents will sell, and the reason most people stay on a game is base on enjoyment of how “cool” or “awesome” a game is. And thats basically AQW’s core game strategy with the cosmetics and animations. That is what sells and what why most people don’t want to stop playing a game. Why do you think people play aqw anyways? Or any other game? It’s not all about the mechanics of a game or how complex it is to play, it’s because how “cool” it is when you play or how “awesome” it is when you do a very hard stunt or something.
